Through many centuries and cultures the tree has served as provider, shelter and icon: a universal and versatile metaphor. While evergreens denote immortality, deciduous varieties signify rebirth and mark the cyclical passage of time. The tree represents the union of the three realms of our world: earth, sky (air) and water. Passages and Connections is an expoloration into the symbolism of trees. Passages + Connections is in the collection of the Akron-Summit County Public Library and is installed at the Mogadore Branch Library.
