rain

Rain was the defining word for the start of the 30th Akron Arts Expo. . . along with mist, drizzle, showers and wind. The weather was no deterrent to Saturday visitors who took shelter under umbrellas and in artists’ booths. Fair weather friends had only to wait until Sunday!

Thanks to all who stopped by to visit. May those who left with a new piece of art enjoy it for many years to come!

Some refer to Convolvulus as wild morning glory, all innocence and charm.

Wallace Stevens described the blue Convolvulus as “less flower than light” in Morning Song from The Little June Book. He goes beyond charming to romantic.

Gardeners know this plant as bindweed and are not fooled by its delicate flower. It’s a formidable weed - tenacious, invasive and thoroughly maddening! Romance is out of the question.
